Also on view will be Southern Landscape photographic works by artists including Lucinda Bunnen, Clyde Butcher, John Duckworth, Paul Hagedorn, Jack Leigh, Meryl Truett, and Lynn Wright.

June 11 – July 2, 2009:

“Boy’s Life,” a group exhibition concerning the ephemeral, transitional point in a boy’s life when he begins to realize that he is separate and male, destined for attributes of strength, courage and virility.  Photographic works by artists such as Peter Bahouth, Emily Gomez, Ryan Pfluger, Corey Daniels, Steve Bliss, and Shannon Clark.

“Play War:  Homemade Recreational Battlefields,” the latest exhibition by ArtAdia 2009 Awardee, Ruth Dusseault.

Located on a quiet little street in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, Huff Harrington Fine Art is a little oasis of art, carefully curated and displayed in a warm and cozy ranch house.  Each of the gallery’s seven rambling rooms is a neutral backdrop for the gallery’s ever-changing selection of representational, abstract and impressionist art. Owners Ann Huff and Meg Harrington work with a number of emerging and mid-career American and French artists who paint in a variety of styles and media.

On the walls Thursday, June 4th:  new paintings by Polish-born artist, Ewa Rzeznik.  Rzeznik paints the things that are closest to her heart:  windswept beaches, excited children in brightly colored raincoats, beachcombing adults and inquisitive dogs (usually Golden Retrievers).  Also on the walls:  Jim Seitz, Jeffrey Terreson, Virginia Parker, and other gallery artists.

Atlanta artist Yasharel is known for his painterly landscapes and bold abstract works.  Using rich, warm toned color and fluid brush marks, Yasharel captures the essence of the Mediterranean countryside that so inspires him.  This new exhibition of smaller works explores the landscape, but figurative and abstract paintings also feature as a significant portion of the show.

**A donation of 40% of the proceeds will be made to the Atlanta Human Society at the Opening on June 4th and during business hours on June 5 – 6.
