DE Fine Art Gallery is pleased to present the finest examples of representational painting, drawing, and sculpture in the Southeast.
This month we feature the works of Luis Amer who’s bold, fresh, and alluring colors hypnotize viewers and bring landscapes and scene paintings to another dimension. Amer’s style is often compared to the French Fauvists, including Matisse and Derain. However, one truly cannot call him a Fauvist as he has enhanced the style with detail and action, giving exuberance to his work.
Also on display will be works from our portfolio of European artists. ______________________________________________________________________________HAGEDORN FOUNDATION GALLERY 425 Peachtree Hills Ave. No. 25 tel 404-492-7718 www.hagedornfoundationgallery.org Corey Daniels Walter Photograph printed from a large format negative 34" x 44" Ed. 3 of 10

Located on a quiet little street in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, Huff Harrington Fine Art is a little oasis of art, carefully curated and displayed in a warm and cozy ranch house. Each of the gallery’s seven rambling rooms is a neutral backdrop for the gallery’s every-changing selection of representational, abstract and impressionist art. Owners Ann Huff and Meg Harrington work with a number of emerging and mid-career American and French artists who paint in a variety of styles and media.
On the walls Thursday, July 2nd: new work from Marti Somers. Curtis Ames Serolith Reverie Mixed media 48” x 36”
Lagerquist Gallery, Atlanta’s oldest gallery dealing in original fine art, is pleased to feature new work by one of the gallery’s new artists, Curtis Ames.
After receiving his B.F.A. from the University of Georgia in 2002, Curtis Ames worked as a multimedia artist creating paintings, sculptures, and installations exploring the evaluative process of identity. Much of the artist’s work is varied in style, media, and format. Throughout the painting process, layers are wiped away, etched, scratched, sanded, repainted, etc. until the artist arrives at an acceptable version of the inspiring experience. Imagery is simplified and the illusion of space is left vague and incomplete to allow viewers to create their own narratives based on their own personal experiences.
Curtis Ames’ work is in numerous private and corporate collections, and he has participated in several local public art opportunities, including Art in Freedom Park (2005). In addition, his work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in gallery both nationally and abroad, including the New Life Shop in Berlin, Germany.
Mr. Ames’ work can be seen during regular gallery hours and new work will be featured on First Thursday + Buckhead on July 2, 2009 from 6 – 9 PM. ______________________________________________________________________________Richard Harris Untitled Acrylic on panel 54” x 46”
