Nunziante L’Infinito Dentro Me Oil on canvas 40” x 40”
DE Fine Art Gallery is pleased to present the finest examples of representational painting, drawing, and sculpture in the Southeast.
This month we feature the metaphysical works of Italy’s Antonio Nunziante. Inspired by leading surrealists, Dali, Picasso, Böcklin, Magritte and especially De Chirico, Nunciante’s works are infused with romanticism, myth, dreams, imagination and hope. Symbolism abounds in Nunziante’s surrealistic paintings of humanity, beauty and myth. He uses symbols in virtually all of his works, and, while viewers may bring their own interpretation to his images, for the artist, the symbols are rich in meaning.
Also on display will be works from our portfolio of European artists.

Shelley Hopkins The Girl with the Wooden Rooster Mixed media on canvas 40” x 40”
Located on a quiet little street in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, Huff Harrington Fine Art is a little oasis of art, carefully curated and displayed in a warm and cozy ranch house. Each of the gallery’s seven rambling rooms is a neutral backdrop for the gallery’s ever-changing selection of representational, abstract, and impressionist art. Owners Ann Huff and Meg Harrington work with a number of emerging and mid-career American and French artists who paint in a variety of styles and media. On the walls Thursday, August 6th: new work from Shelley Hopkins, whose fresh and vibrant paintings take an uncomplicated and unbiased look at life through the eyes of children. Symbols of childhood abound in her work, including her trademark “growth charts” and circles that represent life’s journey. Hopkins’ figures tell stories that speak to the emotion and adventure of youth – and the path to adulthood. Also hanging: new work from Onyeka Ibe, Nancy Franke, Alice McNeely, Georges Nastri, Andree Thobaty, Christian Nepo, Marti Somers, Melissa Payne Baker and other gallery artists. ______________________________________________________________________________LAGERQUIST GALLERY 3235 Paces Ferry Place NW tel 404-261-8273 www.lagerquistgallery.net
Harriet Marshall Goode Quiet Oil on canvas 84” x 24”
Lagerquist Gallery, Atlanta’s oldest gallery dealing in original fine art, is pleased to introduce a new gallery artist, Harriet Marshall Goode. Much of the artist’s work has won prestigious awards and honors including a Career Achievement Award by Converse College. In 2007 the artist was honored with a retrospective of her paintings, spanning the last 50 years, in an exhibition at Winthrop College.
As a painter for many years, experiences and events give her work its point of view. Harriet’s figurative narratives are always of women though they sometimes appear amorphous. The artist explains that the figures are strangers to her, who have hijacker her imagination, leaving her puzzled and often unable to explain the work.
Ms. Goode’s new work is currently on display at Lagerquist Gallery during regular gallery hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Ms. Goode’s work will be featured at Lagerquist Gallery on First Thursday + Buckhead on August 6th, 2009 from 6-9 PM.
